My Book on Kindles

What is a Kindle? A Kindle is Amazon's e-reader. I am on a mission to prove that the Kindle does so much more than provide you with free books. I am trying to find all the great websites about Health which I can read easily with a Kindle. The challenge being every website I use, must already be in a friendly, mobile format, and it does not create additional windows when I click on a link, as the Kindle cannot cope with these.

http://mobile.nhsdirect.nhs.uk is the UK government's great online health diagnosis service. Your Kindle asks you questions and tells you what to do about it.

http://m.medlineplus.gov is the US government's great online health diagnosis service. Here you can read about health topics, about different drugs, and there is a dictionary of medical words.

http://healthjobs.mobi lists different US health related jobs you could apply for. You can also use their services to place your own adverts online.

http://wapedia.mobi/en/Health_insurance_in_the_United_States gives you the details you need about getting and having health insurance in America.

http://healthwire.mobi is your best source for health news on your mobile.

http://medrec.mobi lists ways to have your medical records online. It als gives details of how you can improve the quality of the US health care while lowering its cost. The US GOvernment will make the immediate investments necessary to ensure that, within five years, all of America's medical records are computerized. .

http://m.cdc.gov/ provides information for centres of control, diseases and their prevention. Most disasters seem covered here.

http://healthtips.mobi brings you daily health and wellbeing tips on-the-go direct to your mobile/cell phone.

http://gogyms.mobi will help you locate a gym near you, if you happen to live in the USA. This site also has a health news section.

http://health.foxnews.mobi has a great health news section, complete with health book reviews. I really enjoyed its opinions.

http://herald.mobi/health.php is full of news. The first pages test is readable, but a little small, but the full article texts were easy to read..

http://iphone.mobislim.com a funny look at some of the diets out there, not a site to be taken particularly seriously.

http://glutenfreediet.mobi is a great website on gluten free diets and why you might need one.

http://gluten-free.mobi gives you all you need to know about having a gluten free diet.

http://www.dietonline.mobi is a great site for finding out how fat you are, and what measurements to make.

http://gogreen.mobi tells you how to live a more healthy, green life.

http://m.treehugger.com is your best source for environmental news on your mobile.

Check out our News section as many newspapers also have an excellent health section.

As you can see, while some people start by asking 'What is a Kindle?', quickly I find people ask what can my Kindle do for me? What new ways can I use it? As you can see, there are lots of different ways of using your Kindle to diagnose illness, improve your diet, and make your life a little more green (think how much paper you are saving by using only e-books!).

I will continue to try to build up ideas of how else I can help you use your Kindle to improve your health. Of course, as always, if you do happen to know of a great site, or you think one of my sites I have listed in not so great, or even worse, stopped working altogether, please drop me a note and I will see what I can do to make it better again.
